| West Hartford, Connecticut - TCB scored 7 runs in the 1st inning and cruised to a 13-4 win to get the doubleheader sweep against the Connecticut Blaze. TCB outscored the Blaze 29-6 in the 2 games. Andy Mayer pitched 5 strong innings to earn the win. Mayer struck out 8 while scattering 8 hits and walking only 1. TCB's bats stayed hot in game to as they drilled 15 hits, led by Jon Weiss who went 3-4 with 2 runs. Mike O'Malley was 2-3 with a homerun, RBI, and 2 runs scored. Rich Catalano was 2-3 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs and Chris Newell was 2-4 with a triple, 2 RBI's, and 2 runs scored. Pat Irvine was 1-4 with a double and 3 RBI's. The Blaze committed 8 errors in the game that lead to 5 unearned runs. TCB improves to 4-0 on the year in Super East Baseball League play as they go for their 7th consecutive league title.
