| Stamford, Connecticut - TCB scored 4 runs in the first inning and never looked back as they defeated Stamford in Super East Baseball League Play. TCB improved to 5-0 in league play this year. TCB got strong pitching performances from Nick Erardi, Tom Church, and Luke Cowan. Erardi pitched 5 innings to earn his second win of the season. He scattered 4 hits, allowing 1 run, and striking out 5. Church pitched an inning of relief, allowing an unearned run with a strikeout. Cowan, in his first appearance on the mound this season, allowed a run and had a strike out in an inning of work. TCB was dominant offensively as they had 17 hits, including 3 doubles, and 4 triples, and 7 players had multi-hit games. Jason Rago was 2-5 with a double, triple, and 3 RBI's. Rich Catalano was 3-4, with a double, triple, and 2 RBI's. Pat Irvine was 2-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and 2 runs scored. Mike O'Malley was 2-4 with a double, 3 runs, and an RBI. Tyler Tomer was 2-2, with an RBI, 2 runs, and 2 stolen bases, and Andy Mayer was 2-4 with 2 RBI's. TCB returns to action on Saturday, June 26th, in the Inaugural Connecticut Cup at St. Joseph's HS in Trumbull, CT. |
