CAMBRIDGE, Mass. —
Harvard University senior captain Schuyler Mann
(Trumbull, Conn.) was named All Ivy League first team at catcher for the
second straight season.

Mann backstopped a Crimson pitching staff that finished second in the
Ivies in ERA and in 36 starts, he hit .292. The senior captain also blasted
eight homer runs and drove in a team-best 37 runs. He swiped seven
bases and collected seven doubles while slugging .531. Mann's 26 career
home runs are the second most in school history.

Freshman Shawn Haviland (Farmington, Conn.) was named Honorable
Mention.  Haviland had an impressive freshman campaign, posting a 6-1
record. The six wins tied for the most in the Ivies and in his last game, he
tossed his first complete game. He held batters to a .230 average and
struck out 33 hitters in 51 innings of work. His 3.18 ERA was the lowest of
the Harvard starting rotation.
