Steve Bray has been promoted to the Kansas City Royals AAA Affiliate, the
Omaha Royals.
2004: Began his 2nd professional season with Burlington in the Midwest
League…went 3-3 with a 3.29 ERA and 6 saves in 24 relief
appearances…Was promoted to Wilmington in the Carolina League and
posted a 5-0 record and 3.45 ERA in 10 relief outings. 2003: Led the
University of New Haven Chargers pitching staff as a senior, going 8-
2…struck out 116 batters and walked just 22 in 96.1 innings over 17
games…his 10.8 strikeouts per game ranked 11th among Division II
players…was named 1st team All-New York Collegiate Athletic
Conference and was an all-region selection. Misc.: Graduated Branford
(Conn.) High, 1999…Appears in the 2005 Baseball America Prospect
Handbook as the #9 right-handed reliever on KC’s minor league depth
chart (one spot behind Justin Huisman)…In his first two pro seasons, has
only walked 22 batters in 119.0 innings, while striking out 121.
