4/4/06 - Perfect Game Northeast has released the schedule of its 2006 Northeast Showcases. Perfect Game USA is devoted to furthering the development and career of the talented high school baseball player. To that end, Perfect Game USA produces the very highest national level individual player showcases and team tournaments all over the United States. These events have proved invaluable to the college coaching community and major league baseball as they can scout a large population of talented ball players all in one location.

 

In it's twelfth year in business, Perfect Game has hosted tournaments and showcases all over the nation. Perfect Game events produced 533 Major League draft picks last year alone, and well over 1,000 college players. Just in the past three years PG events have had over 1,300 draft picks including 66 first round selections. 155 former PG attendees were on the 8 teams that played in the NCAA DI World Series last year. The Major Leagues are starting to fill up with former PG players. It has been estimated by year 2010 more than one half of all Major League players will be Perfect Game alumni.

 

PG Northeast will be hosting 7 State Showcases as well as the Northeast Underclass Showcase and Northeast Top Prospect Showcase. Both of the regional events will once again be held at Clem Spillane Field in Wareham, Massachusetts, home of the Cape Cod League Wareham Gatemen.
