5/9/06 - Shawn Haviland (Harvard/Farmington, CT) was named the 2006 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year by a vote of the league's coaches. He was also voted to the All Ivy League First Team.

Haviland, meantime, was dominant during the regular season. In five Ivy starts, he pitched five complete games (one of which was 10 innings) and allowed just three earned runs for a 0.73 ERA in 37 innings. For the season Haviland went 4-5 with a 3.48 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 54.1 innings pitched.

Haviland played for TCB from 1999 to 2003, including being named and All-American on the 2002 17 and Under National Championship Team.
