6/7/06 - The 2006 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft was completed Wednesday with the selection of 3 players that have worn the TCB uniform.

 

Jovan Rosa was drafted for the second time in two years as he was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 22nd Round. Rosa played for TCB in 2003 and 2004 before heading to Lake City Community College in Florida. He batted .365 with 18 doubles, 6 home runs, and 61 runs batted in this past season earning 1st Team All State Honors.

 

Lee Verweel was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 45th round. He played for TCB in the 2005 WWBA Northeast Qualifier as the team advanced to the playoffs. Verweel was drafted out of Malvern Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Ontario.

 

Vin DiFazio was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 46th round. DiFazio played for TCB at the 2003 WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, Florida, TCB's first trip to this event.

 

TCB has now had 16 players selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
