Team Connecticut USA has been invited by Perfect Game to represent the Northeast at the 13/U Baseball Championship Series Finals.
"We still think that wood bats are the best tool available both to evaluate young players with and for them to learn how to hit properly," said Perfect Game President Jerry Ford. "But not every young player uses wood bats. We wanted to branch out and provide quality events from our organization to what may be a new group of young players and teams. Our goal with the Baseball Championship Series is to give teams throughout the country a chance to win an event and advance to a World Series. A lot of events that we do are more showcase type events, where we are looking for the best teams to showcase their top players. The Baseball Championship Series is something that we are very excited about for the future of amateur baseball at all levels."
The 24 team BCS Finals are July 25-30 in Jupiter, Florida. Games will be played at the Roger Dean Stadium Complex, the same 15 field complex that hosts the WWBA World Championships each October.
