Coach Dowling joined the Team Connecticut staff for the 2005 season. He spent the 2005 season with the 16u Hartford team. In 2007, he was an assistant coach with the 15u Hartford team. He is currently the head varsity baseball coach at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT.  Coach Dowling started working at Avon in 1996.  In his nine seasons at Avon Old Farms the baseball team has collected six league championships, enjoyed an overall record of 126-30, and sent dozens of prep school baseball players to college programs throughout the country.


Beyond his experience at Avon, Coach Dowling has worked with various legion programs and last summer was on the coaching staff of the Holyoke Giants in the New England College Baseball League (NECBL).  
 

Coach Dowling played his college ball at Trinity (CT) and was a four-year pitcher for Coach Bill Decker from 1991-1995.  Trinity earned post-season bids in three of Dowling's four seasons with
the Bantams, and in 1995 Dowling helped Trinity set a then team record for wins in a season.  As a player, Coach Dowling followed an undefeated junior year on the mound, by leading the Bantams in wins as a senior.  
 

Coach Dowling grew up in Massachusetts, is married, and lives on the campus of Avon Old Farms School.
