Fellowship-trained in sports medicine and shoulder and knee surgery, Dr. Alleyne treats problems in adults and children related to the body’s tendons, cartilage and ligaments. His practice focuses on treating shoulder and knee problems, including minimally invasive total knee replacement and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He enjoys the non-operative and operative treatment of orthopaedic problems.

Dr. Alleyne notes that his “patient first” philosophy has led him to provide the latest operative and non-operative treatments for his patients’ orthopedic concerns. “The ability to make an immediate and noticeable impact in a person’s life is the reason I went into orthopedics,” he says. “It’s very rewarding to have a person come in with a bad knee or shoulder and be able to help them walk or move their shoulder again without pain.”

Dr. Alleyne was the team physician for Yale University and the U.S. Olympic Boxing Team. He is currently a team physician for eastern region U.S. Olympic Cycling. A father of two, Dr. Alleyne enjoys family time, cycling, sailing, skiing and jazz music. He serves as a medical advisor for two websites, www.knee1.com and www.shoulder1.com.
