Joint replacement has seen major advancements in technique and materials used. Dr. Dua points out “What’s important to realize is that the size of an incision is not the sole criteria of minimally invasive surgery. It’s important to use the smallest length incision possible to do the surgery, but what’s more important is to do less cutting of the tissue inside, because this is what helps recovery.”

Dr. Dua and his wife have two children. He enjoys family time, theater, bicycling with his children, tennis and travel.
