Dr. Kumar treats problems in general orthopedics, including fracture care and total joint arthroplasty for arms, hips, knees, and legs. “The benefits that orthopedic surgeons can provide for people are very concrete,” he says. “We can correct what is broken and get people back into the game (of life). This has been extremely gratifying for me.”

 

In his practice, he takes care of a large number of young adults and adolescents for sports-related injuries, and has many patients from the Enfield and Stafford-area school systems. During his residency, Dr. Kumar was a team physician for several high school football teams in Rochester, Minnesota and Jacksonville, Florida providing care for sports-related injuries, especially fractures.

 

Dr. Kumar and his wife have one daughter, who plays soccer and tennis.
