Paul joined the Team Connecticut staff in 2001 as head coach of 12 & under team.  In 2002, he joined the 18 Americans Staff as outfield instructor and first base coach helping lead the team to 2nd, 7th, and 5th place finishes nationally in 2002, 2003, and 2004 respectfully.

Paul is a native Rhode Islander, growing up in Lincoln, RI where he attended Lincoln High School. He played varsity baseball for 3 years at LHS for former Bryant College and Quinnipiac University Head Baseball Coach Earl Mathewson.  He was the school’s baseball captain in 1979 and 1980, and was the only 2-year baseball captain in the school's history. He was voted All League, All Woonsocket Call, and All Pawtucket Times 1st team All-Star for 3 consecutive years. His senior year, he was selected to the All-State team, and finished his career at Lincoln HS as the school's career home run leader with 14.  Paul also played basketball at LHS and was named captain senior year.

He then attended Eckerd College in Florida where he graduated with a Degree in Business Management.  He played baseball for 3 years under present Eckerd head baseball coach Bill Mathews and present Toronto Blue Jay 3rd base coach Brian Butterfield.

Has been employed 20 years as Vice President & Regional Manager with Wells Fargo Financial, and resides in Glastonbury with his wife Sandy and their children Eric and Amanda. Eric played for TCB for six seasons and entered his freshman year at the University of Vermont in the fall of 2007.
