Steve Howey returns to the TCB staff as the head coach of the 16 year old American Team. Coach Howey was a two time High School State Champion at East Hartford High School where his team was ranked  #1 in New England and 22^nd Nationally. Coach Howey played for the 18/U American team in which his team placed 10^th Nationally. He played at Bridgewater State College his freshman year in college before transferring to Southern Connecticut State University where he played third base for the Owls. Steve began his coaching career with TCB as an assistant coach on the 13 year old team in 2001. He then moved on to coach at the 14 year old level and 16 year old level under Coach Hetu, where his team had a top ten finish. His first head coaching position came as the 13 year old National coach where he led his squad to a top ten finish at the National Tournament.

Coach Howey has been a head instructor for various camps in which he specializes in hitting and infield. He has also been successful at the high school level at Glastonbury High School. His teams have reached the State Semifinals and also had a single season record for wins. Currently Coach Howey is on the East Hartford High School coaching staff in which he also works as a Special Education teacher and has currently started coursework for his Educational Doctorate in Athletic Administration. Steve lives in Glastonbury and has two sons Ben and Adam.
