Mike is going on his 11th season of coaching in 2008. He has coached at all age levels from 13 & under to 18 & under and is also a Director of the 18 & under program, coordinating recruiting as well as National Fall Tournament teams. Under his guidance, TCB has recruited players for various teams and tournaments that have signed National Letters of Intent to such schools as Auburn, Boston College, Brown, Connecticut, Coastal Carolina, Duke, Elon, Florida International, Harvard, Kansas, Marist, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Oregon State, Seton Hall, Stanford, Tampa, UNC-Charlotte, Vermont, Western Kentucky, Wofford, and many others.

 

Mike has been coaching with Team Connecticut since 1999.  In 1999 he was the pitching coach for the 13 year old team that placed 3rd at the AAU National Invitational Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina.  In 2000, he was the pitching coach for the 14 year old team that competed in the AAU National Championships in Sarasota, Florida.  In 2001, he was the pitching coach on the 15 year old team that finished 9th at the USSSA Major World Series in Winter Haven, Florida, and also 3rd at the International Travel Baseball World Series, also in Winter Haven.
 

In 2002, he was the pitching coach for the 18 & under Americans.  The 2002 team finished as the National Runner-Up at the USSSA Major World Series in Jupiter, Florida. The team came out of the loser's bracket, finishing as the National Runner-Up in what Manager Dan Kennedy called "the most competitive tournament I've ever been to."  The 2002 team finished with a record of 29-18, with a 3rd place finish at the East Cobb Classic in East Cobb, Georgia, and a 5th place finish at the Liberty Tournament in New York.  

In 2003, Levandowski became the 18 & under Americans Bench Coach, with the team placing 7th Nationally after competing at the USSSA World Series in Lexington, Kentucky. The team won the 2003 Fiori Connecticut Super Series, beating the Keene, NH Legion Team 26-7 in the Championship game.  The team went 4-1 at the East Cobb Showcase in East Cobb Georgia, finished 3rd at the Bama Bomber Invitational in Troy, Alabama, and 3rd again at the Liberty Tournament in New York.

Levandowski served as the Bench Coach again for the 2004 18 Americans. The 2004 team continued the success of the 18 & Under American team, compiling a record of 32-14 and finishing 5th Nationally at the BEST Baseball World Championships.  They won their 7th consecutive Super East Baseball League Championship and also captured the Inaugural Connecticut Cup.

In 2005, the 18 & Under American team competed at the Perfect Game BCS North Qualifier, earning a spot in the quarterfinals. They spent 17 days on the road in July, advancing to the playoffs at the Perfect Game WWBA 18u National Championship in Marietta, Georgia. They continued on to Nashville, Tennessee for the SANDLOTT World Series, where the team went on to a 4th place National Finish.

 

Mike spent the 2006 season assisting with the 13 & under Hartford Americans during April and May, helping them to a runner-up finish at the Northeast BCS Regional in Bristol, Connecticut. He spent June, July, and August working primarily for Perfect Game USA, helping to run various State and Regional Showcases and Tournaments.

 

In 2007, Levandowski returned to the field as an assistant coach with the 13 & under Hartford team, working primarily with the pitching staff. That pitching staff led the team to the 2007 Connecticut AAU State Championship as well as a Final 16 Finish at the AAU National Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He also assisted in running over a dozen Perfect Game Showcases, including the prestigious Northeast Top Prospect Showcase as well as 6 different Perfect Game Northeast Regional tournaments.

Since 2004, Levandowski has been the Fall 18 & Under Wood Bat Director for TCB. Under his leadership, TCB USA was formed. TCB USA has been able to recruit players from 18 U.S.states as well as Canada. TCB USA players have come from as far as Utah, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Florida, and Ontario to compete in prestigious Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association events.

Among his off field duties, Mike works full-time at the Connecticut Baseball Academy as a clinic and camp instructor.  He is the Director of the Team Connecticut Diamond Club, the Connecticut State Director for the Continental
Amateur Baseball Association (CABA), as well as the Northeast Scouting Supervisor for Perfect Game USA.

Mike is a graduate of Teikyo Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut.  In 2002, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Management.  He is also a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.


Mike pitched 3 years for TPU, primarily as a reliever, and compiled a 2-0 record in 15 appearances with a
3.45 ERA his senior season.
