4/12/07 - TCB will once again be running a number of teams this fall. Players in every age group from 12-17 have opportunities to continue their development as well as exposure opportunities starting in the end of August.

 

Players who are currently 12 years old are eligible to participate in the 12 Year Old Grad Program. This program is run in conjunction with the Connecticut Baseball Academy and will emphasize instruction for the player that will be moving up to the 90 foot diamond. The baseball instruction will help develop a systematic approach to becoming a better, more confident player. Many of the players that participate in this program go on to compete on the following summers' TCB 13 and under teams. Players that are currently 13 and 14 years old are invited to play on our 15 and Under Fall Team. The team will play games in the Super East Baseball Fall League as well as participate in Triple Crown Tournaments in North Branford, Connecticut. Team coaches will include Gary Diaz, Nick Macellaro, Bob Doolittle, and Pete Gianoni. As in 2006, the team will have an assigned weeknight practice to include hitting and pitching development with guest instructors to include Dan Kennedy, Brad Muldoon, Bill Nardi, Steve Blinn, and Mike Levandowski.

 

Each team will carry 16 players and will play approximately 20-25 games. Games are played throughout the week and include weekends as well. Cost of the team is approximately $500.00 for the fall season.  This includes league fees, umpire fees, uniform, coaches, baseballs, etc.

The 18 and Under team will play in the Super East 18/u Fall League and will also have a tournament schedule. The last piece of the fall baseball program is the Team Connecticut USA division of tournament play. As in 2006, TCB will once again field teams to participate in the  World Wood Bat Underclass Championship, and World Wood Bat Championship. All of the information for these teams can be found on the new Team Connecticut USA website, which can be accessed by clicking the logo. There are going to be three teams put together for these events. The '08 team will play in the World Championship. There will be two teams for '09 and '10 players, an American and National team, both which will attend the Underclass World Championship.
