played today at Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington,
Connecticut. The scramble tournament was a tremendous success in its
first year with over 80 golfers participating in the memorial event.
There were two teams with identical scores, and after the tiebreaker, the
winning team with a score of 9 under par was Jim Boice (Glastonbury, CT),
Joe Melzen (Glastonbury, CT), Tally Noble (Glastonbury, CT), and Paul
Gondek (Glastonbury, CT).
In second place, with a score of 9 under par was Dan Kennedy
(Manchester, CT), Mike Klimas (Peoria, AZ), Bill Nardi (West Hartford, CT)
and Mike Levandowski (Burlington, CT).
The Men's Long Drive Winner was.
The Women's Long Drive Winner was Cathy Myers.
The Men's Closest to the Pin Winner was Dan Kennedy.
The Women's Closest to the Pin Winner was Joanna Piscitello.
Team Connecticut Blue Jays Baseball, where Michael player baseball for 6
summers, were the Title Sponsors. Assumption College, where Michael
attended school, was the tournament's Dinner Sponsor.
