Diamondbacks defeat Rockies, 10-9

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Diamondbacks scored three runs in the seventh
inning to defeat the Rockies, 10-9, Wednesday afternoon in front of 4,617
at Hi Corbett Field.
Jamie D'Antona keyed the decisive frame with a one-out, two-run double
off of the batter's eye that scored Carlos Baerga and Greg Colbrunn. Jerry
Gil capped the inning one out later with an RBI single to center.
Arizona added a run in the top of the ninth, which proved to be crucial as
the Rockies rallied for three runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Greg Aquino (2-1) picked up the win in relief for the Diamondbacks, while
Kip Bouknight (0-1) suffered the loss.
Neither starter pitched particularly well, with Colorado's Joe Kennedy
allowing five runs on four hits in four innings of work. The left-hander
walked three and also hit three batters.
For Arizona, Elmer Dessens allowed six runs (four earned) on eight hits in
his four innings.
